another major darts event in Suffolk featuring competitors from America and Dubai

Stonham Barns Park – one of Suffolk’s premier leisure, retail and holiday destinations – is staging another major darts event on Saturday 11 May starting at 11.00am.  It will be the second successive year of the Darts Referee Open organised by YouTuber and ex PDC Referee Jack Langston in association with Evolution Darts

Jack – known as The Darts Referee – will do a meet and greet with players ahead of the event.

Around 160 players are expected to attend along with spectators who can enjoy food, snacks and a bar on the day.  The format will be a Round Robin event with two from each group qualifying for the KO stages.  Players will include top names Stephen Burton, Darren Webster, Ashley Coleman, Nathan Potter and Jo Locke.  There will be 16 match darts boards with a few dedicated practice boards supplied by sponsor Unicorn Darts. The winner will receive £700 prize money.

Says Jack Langston, ‘Personally, I can’t wait to be at Stonham Barns again this year.  The Darts Referee Open was a phenomenal success last year and we’ve got players attending from all over the UK this year and from as far afield as America and Dubai.’

‘The standard is sure to be high with a few former pros mixed in with players of all abilities and so it’s going to be a great event for spectators as well.’

It was in March that Stonham Barns Park and Evolution Darts hosted a Super Series darts tournament that saw Essex-based Darren O’Neill beat a strong turnout of players.

The event was one of 7 taking place at venues throughout Suffolk – presented by Evolution Darts in association with Target Darts – leading to a finals day which will also be staged at Stonham Barns Park later in the year (7 December).

The event – with a £7000 prize fund – saw competitors coming from all over the UK.

Stonham Barns Park has been hosting various darts events at the new Legends Sports Bar – named in honour of a variety of sporting legends – since its opening – with famous names from the world of darts including Russ Bray and Ipswich-based Keith Deller.

Said Darren Moyes from Evolution Darts, ‘We have got some great events lined up for this year at Stonham Barns Park and this is just one of them.
