wax polish and motoring history everywhere …

Stonham Barns Park – one of Suffolk’s premier leisure, retail and holiday venues – will host its Classic Car Show 2025 (Sunday 17 August) and it is expected that the crowds will attend in big numbers for one of the most popular shows of the year!

The longstanding show at Stonham Aspal is now in its 18th year at the Suffolk-destination venue which attracts many visitors from all over the East of England to see the awesome collection of classic cars and motorcycles from past decades.  The event is strongly supported by the classic car community with high-value cars, wax polish and motoring history everywhere.

The cars will park up for a stunning static display filling the entire showground. Along with the classic cars the show will also feature Club Stands, Auto Jumble, Trade Stands and food outlets and bars.

The show is supported by East Coast Retros, Hundred Friends Motoring Enthusiasts and Suffolk Vehicle Enthusiasts Club bringing nearly 200 cars and supporters.

The Ford Fanatics Club also attended the show for the first time last year bringing over 20 Ford cars from the past to join in the day including Capris, Escorts and muscle-bound Mustangs. The club is booked in again this year to join in the motoring showcase and as a result of this the club has now booked its own car show – The Ford Fanatics Show which will be held at Stonham Barns Park on Sunday 7 September.

There will be live music from The Bel Canto Vintage Sisters singing traditional songs from all eras – post-modern jukebox going from 1940s covering Vera Lynn to the 1960s featuring material from the legendary Frank Sinatra and up to the 1990s with the Spice Girls!

Commenting on the show, Organiser Ray Whitton, who has been with the show since its inception said: ‘This show is all about the memories of cars from another era.  Show visitors can see beautifully restored cars returned to their full glory.  The exhibits change each year and so there is always something new and interesting to see.’

‘There are so many spectacles to see from our motoring past. These are the head turning cars that you sometimes see on the roads all gathered for one show.  We have a long history of showing our cars at Stonham Barns Park.  It’s a stunning venue and there’s so much to see and do alongside the main showground action. It is the perfect  day out for families and friends.’

‘Car enthusiasts always come together for days like these and it makes all the organisation so worthwhile.  We have owners travelling from all over the East of England.’

‘The show gives everyone the opportunity to swap restoration and motoring stories and for those who have not been before it’s a day out to remember with cars from every period in history.  We would encourage younger car enthusiasts to come to see the great heritage on show here in Mid-Suffolk.’

‘Everyone is welcome.  We are looking forward to a stunning day of vintage vibes and vehicles.’

Says Alex Muckle of Stonham Barns Park, ‘The Classic Car show is always an awesome day out for everyone.  It will feature some of the best classic cars from the UK. We are expecting some classic entries and some more excentric exhibits.  It will be a day of shinny bumpers and beauties!’
